Our Club

Dunsborough Lakes Golf Club hosts a high-quality golf course (2020 Best Regional golf club in WA) and exceptional facilities that are available to members and the general public.

The club is located a short walk from the Dunsborough town centre and is close to the beautiful sheltered beaches of Geographe Bay and the Yallingup surf breaks.

Dunsborough is the northern gateway to the world-renowned Margaret River wine region. A scenic drive provides easy access to award-winning wineries, boutique breweries, fine-dining restaurants and casual eateries.

The Course

The 18-hole course is championship level with an overall length of 6200m. It is one of the best maintained courses in the south west and is fully reticulated. There are undulating grass greens, wide fairways, lakes and water features to challenge even the best golfers.

The course was originally designed by Australian PGA great Alan Murray who won over 70 tournaments including the French Open, the Australian PGA and the Wills Masters. More recently it has been reviewed by local resident and PGA veteran Lyndsay Stephen and Phil Scott of Scott Golf Designs.

The course is sown with Hybrid Wintergreen on the fairways and 1019 Providence Bent on the greens. Our Course Superintendent, Oliver Bell joined us from Terrey Hills Golf and Country Club in Sydney. Oliver brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience as he and his team tend the course, keeping it to the highest of standards all year round.

Club Life

Dunsborough Lakes Golf Club is a country golf club that is owned by its members and is well regarded in the local community. The club is governed by the Board and managed by a number of committees. Club competitions generally take place twice a week and are mixed, with ladies and men playing together. This reflects and enhances the club’s inclusive culture.

Our members frequently sponsor the club’s competitions and actively participate in the running of the club through its committees and Board. They volunteer enthusiastically to maintain the club grounds and assist the greenkeepers on the course.

History

Dunsborough Lakes Golf Club was opened in 1993. In 2014 the club’s members started the process of buying the golf course and the clubhouse and in September 2016, the members took ownership of the club. The club’s Board and committee members bring a wealth of experience to ensure the club’s ongoing success into the future.

The members, Board and Management of Dunsborough Lakes Golf Club acknowledge the Traditional Custodians, the Wadandi people, on whose land we are meeting, and pay our respects to Elders, past, present and emerging.

Facilities

In addition to the top-quality course, the club boasts a full complement of golfing facilities, including the pro-shop, clothing and equipment sales, practice facilities, club computers and much more.

No game would be complete without a relaxing drink or delicious meal at the club’s tavern and bistro which has impressive views of the 18th green and the driving range.

General public are VERY welcome.
